all Instructions before installing Rail.
Installation is simple and does not require any
specialized tools or gunsmithing experience.
Required Tools:
-
Narrow flat head screwdriver.
-
Allen Wrenches.
(If you are using T-handle Allen wrench only finger
tighten the Allen screws to avoid stripping)
-
Blue
Removable LocTite (optional).
-
Gun
oil or lube (optional).
Installation:
-
MAKE
SURE SHOTGUN IS UNLOADED.
-
Using a small flat head screw driver, remove the
factory crews from your shotgun's receiver.
-
Attach Minotaur Tactical Rail to your receiver with
provided screws - Do not tighten at this time.
(Note we have
included three sets of screws - One set of four to
install the barrel clamp - One set for Remington
870 - One set for Mossberg 500/590 series).
-
To
install the barrel clamp first apply a generous amount
of oil or gun lube to the barrel area that the clamp
will be installed. Snap the clamp over the
barrel or slip on from the end of the barrel.
The lube
helps to reduce the possibility of scratching your
barrel).
-
Align barrel clamp with the four holes on the rail and
loosely install provided screws.
-
Now
you may hand tighten the receiver screws
(If you plan to use
removable LocTite now would be the time to remove the
receiver screws one at a time and apply a drop of same
before finger tightening with an Allen wrench. Do not
over torque to avoid stripping them out.)
-
Once you have
completed step 6 you may hand tighten the barrel clamp
screws.
The
rail may require a small amount of hand
torquing to align with the barrel clamp.
(If you plan to use removable LocTite now would be the
time to remove the receiver screws one at a time and
apply a drop of same before finger tightening with an
Allen wrench. Do not over torque to avoid stripping
them out.)
